Savitha Swayamvara is a dedicated community service platform created to support marriage matchmaking within the Savitha Samaja. For the past ten years, our WhatsApp groups have played a vital role in bringing families together and have successfully facilitated more than 1,000 marriages. With over 2,000 active members, our initiative has reached and benefited thousands across Karnataka and even from other states, reflecting the trust and goodwill we have earned over the years.

Sri Venkatachalapathi P. B., the visionary organiser of this website, is a respected academician, writer, and community leader dedicated to the progress of the Savitha Samaja. Born on 01-04-1964 in Davangere, Karnataka, he hails from a traditional family rooted in the noble professions of barbering and Ayurveda. His parents, Sri Balaji Rao and Smt. Lakshmamma instilled in him the values of service, discipline, and commitment to society.
He completed his schooling and pre-university education in Davangere, after which he pursued higher studies at the University of Mysore, earning both B.Com. and M.Com. degrees. With a passion for education, he began his professional journey in 1986 as a Lecturer, a role in which he served with distinction for nearly 37 years. His contribution to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students across various institutions has made him a well-respected academic figure.
Beyond his profession, Sri Venkatachalapathi has been a tireless servant of the community. For almost three decades, he has played key leadership roles at the State, District, and Taluk levels. His service includes being the Divisional Secretary of Karnataka State Savitha Samaja Sangha, General Secretary of the Karnataka State Savitha Samaja Employees Association, General Secretary of the Davangere District Savitha Samaja Sangha, and President of Savitha Kshemabhivruddi Sangha. Through these responsibilities, he has championed the welfare, rights, and unity of the Savitha community.
A passionate writer, he has authored several books that document the history, culture, and contributions of the Savitha Samaja. His notable works include “Keshashilpigalu – Kshourikara Bhavya Ithihasa” (Barbers – The Glorious History), “Savitha Maharshigala Charitre” (Biography of Sage Savitha), “Barbers of Karnataka,” and many more. His writings have become valuable resources for understanding our heritage.
Driven by a deep sense of social responsibility, he has been providing free matrimonial assistance to thousands of community members for many years, helping countless families find joyful and compatible matches. With the launch of this exclusive website, he aims to make the matrimonial process even more accessible, transparent, and beneficial to all.
